Diversified Resource Exposure in the Otway and Cooper Basins
Lakes Blue Energy holds a strategically positioned portfolio across South Australia, including interests in both the Otway and Cooper Basins – two of the state’s most established onshore petroleum regions.
In the Otway Basin, the Company is focused on advancing the Nangwarry Project – a high-purity carbon dioxide resource with potential applications across food-grade, medical and industrial markets. The project is held in joint venture with Vintage Energy and has already demonstrated strong reservoir quality and flow rates.
Further north, Lakes retains a royalty interest over the Pirie Torrens Project – a large, early-stage exploration area spanning approximately 53,000 square kilometres across six licence applications in the Cooper Basin region. Exploration is being progressed by Gehyra Flux, with a focus on hydrogen, helium and petroleum.
Lakes’ South Australian interests offer a combination of near-term commercialisation potential and long-term upside, supporting the Company’s broader strategy to unlock value across Australia’s key onshore basins.
